Why mobile-friendly web design matters

In Bodrum a customer mostly looks for you with a phone in hand: on the beach, in the car, at the marina. A site that reads comfortably on a small screen is therefore a basic requirement, not a luxury. Google also bases rankings on the mobile version of your site.

What is mobile-friendly?

The page adapts to the screen width: text reads without zooming, buttons are easy to tap, images do not overflow. We achieve this with responsive design.

What to check

  • Are the phone and map buttons on the first screen?
  • Does the text read without zooming?
  • Can the menu be used one-handed?
  • Are forms easy to fill on a small screen?
  • Speed: Does the page open in a few seconds on mobile data? See Core Web Vitals.

A quick test

Open the site on your own phone over mobile data. Show it to someone else; do they understand what you do in the first five seconds? If not, the structure is at fault, not the message.

In all projects we design mobile first, then extend to desktop. For restaurant sites such as Adabeyi Sami, menu and location are laid out so they are found at first glance on a phone. See our web design service and the list 10 things to check before building a website.
