“How much is a website?” has no single answer, because two sites that look alike can hide very different work. These are the main items that set the price.
What sets the price
- Number and complexity of pages: A five-page brochure site and a shop with hundreds of products are not the same job. For sales, online store setup is a separate scope.
- Number of languages: A second language means a second site in text and structure. See how to build a multilingual website.
- Content readiness: Is copywriting and photography included? Photography is a separate item.
- Custom features: Booking, filtering, payment, user login. These may need software development.
- SEO and migration: If you have an old site, redirects and SEO work add to the price.
- Yearly costs: Domain and hosting renew every year.
When comparing quotes
Compare the same scope. If one quote includes maintenance, backups and SEO foundations and another does not, the price gap is really a scope gap. Also ask whether source files and admin access are handed over.
How we proceed
In the first meeting we listen to the need and write the scope, then quote item by item. Look at earlier work in our portfolio. The checklist 10 things to check before building a website helps too.
